A 3m × 3m canvas tarp is one of the most useful things you can carry. String it between the 4WD and a tree for shade at lunch, pitch it over your swag before rain comes through, or lay it down as a clean floor under the awning.
Why canvas
It's made from 410gsm (12oz) canvas, the same heavy-duty canvas we use in our swags.
- It doesn't crackle and flap like a poly tarp, so it's quieter in wind at night.
- It breathes, so there's less condensation dripping off the underside.
- It stands up to the Australian sun far longer than cheap plastic, which goes brittle and splits.
- It's heavier, so it sits flat as a ground sheet and doesn't blow around.
Ways to use it
- Shade shelter or rain fly, tied off to your vehicle, a roof rack, trees or poles.
- Extra cover over a swag in heavy rain.
- Ground sheet under a swag, tent or awning.
- Wind break on an exposed beach or plain.
- Picnic rug or a cover for gear on a trailer.
In the bag
It comes with a PVC carry bag to keep it clean and dry in the vehicle. Poles, ropes and pegs aren't included, so you can use whatever suits your setup.

Getting the Most From It
Over Your Swag
Pitch it over any of our swags before rain comes through. You stay drier and get a covered spot to sit, cook and pack up under, instead of rolling up a wet swag in the rain.
Under the Awning
Lay it under the Shelta 270 awning as a floor. It keeps sand and grass off your gear, and because heavy canvas sits flat, the edges don't lift every time the wind picks up.
What to Pack With It
Poles, ropes and pegs aren't included, so pack a couple of poles, some guy ropes and pegs, or tie off to the roof rack and a tree. With eyelets around every edge, you can pitch it flat, angled for shade, or as a lean-to.

Metal eyelets run around the edges, with reinforced corners.
Are poles, ropes and pegs included?
No. It comes with a PVC carry bag, so you can use whatever poles, ropes and pegs suit your setup.

A shade shelter or rain fly tied to your vehicle, a roof rack or trees; extra cover over a swag in heavy rain; a ground sheet under a swag, tent or awning; or a wind break on an exposed beach.
How much is delivery and where do you send?
We deliver anywhere in Australia, and shipping is free on orders of $1,500 or more. Below that, it's calculated at checkout from your address and the items in your order. Every delivery includes in-transit insurance, and we send with Australia Post, FedEx or DHL depending on the size and weight of your order.

Yes. Choose Pickup In-Store at checkout and collect your order from our store at 14 Cessna Street, Marcoola, on the Sunshine Coast. It saves the shipping cost.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, for everything except awnings. International shipping is calculated at checkout, not including local import duties and taxes, which the receiver pays. For an overseas quote on an awning, email info@mrswagman.com.au or call +61 (0)7 5302 6954.
What's the warranty?
Every Mr Swagman product has a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, such as stitching or a seam coming apart, or a zip, buckle or pole failing in normal use. It starts on the day you receive the product, and it's in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving it, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging. Please contact us first. You pay the return freight, the original shipping cost isn't refunded, and a 5% restocking fee comes off your refund, which we process once the item is back with us and approved for resale. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's different: contact us and we'll sort it out under the Australian Consumer Law, with no restocking fee.
What should I do when my order arrives?
Check the box and the product for damage before you sign for it. If there's any damage, note it with the driver before signing, or refuse the delivery. Without that, we can't claim on the freight insurance.
