Frequently asked questions

What are the bags and tarp made from?

The same materials as our swags. The Premium Canvas Gear Bag and the Premium Canvas Tarp are 410gsm (12oz) canvas. The Spare Wheel Storage Bag is 500gsm PVC, so it wipes or hoses clean.

How much fits in the 96L gear bag?

It's 60cm L × 40cm W × 40cm H: enough for a sleeping bag and pillow, or a week of clothes for one.

Its square shape stacks neatly in a canopy, drawer system or trailer. The wide lid opens right back on YKK zips, and two internal pockets hold small things like headlamps and keys.

What do people carry in a spare wheel bag?

The things you don't want inside the vehicle: rubbish between bins, wet or sandy gear, snatch straps and shackles, firewood and the camp shovel. A standard household bin bag fits inside.

Will the spare wheel bag fit my spare?

It fits tyres up to 35 inches on rear doors or swing-out carriers. An adjustable 50mm webbing harness wraps the tyre, and an anti-sag strap stops a heavy load bouncing on corrugations.

What can I use a canvas tarp for?
  • A shade shelter or rain fly tied to your vehicle, roof rack or trees
  • Extra cover over a swag in heavy rain
  • A ground sheet under a swag, tent or awning
  • A wind break on an exposed beach

It's 3m × 3m with metal eyelets around the edges and reinforced corners, and comes in a PVC carry bag. Poles, ropes and pegs aren't included, so you can use whatever suits your setup.

Why canvas instead of a poly tarp?

Canvas doesn't crackle and flap in the wind, it breathes so there's less condensation underneath, and it lasts far longer in the Australian sun. Its weight also keeps it flat as a ground sheet.

How much is delivery and where do you send?

We deliver anywhere in Australia, and shipping is free on orders of $1,500 or more. Below that, it's calculated at checkout from your address and the items in your order. Every delivery includes in-transit insurance, and we send with Australia Post, FedEx or DHL depending on the size and weight of your order.

Can I pick up my order instead?

Yes. Choose Pickup In-Store at checkout and collect your order from our store at 14 Cessna Street, Marcoola, on the Sunshine Coast. It saves the shipping cost.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, for everything except awnings. International shipping is calculated at checkout, not including local import duties and taxes, which the receiver pays. For an overseas quote on an awning, email info@mrswagman.com.au or call +61 (0)7 5302 6954.

What's the warranty?

Every Mr Swagman product has a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, such as stitching or a seam coming apart, or a zip, buckle or pole failing in normal use. It starts on the day you receive the product, and it's in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Yes, within 30 days of receiving it, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging. Please contact us first. You pay the return freight, the original shipping cost isn't refunded, and a 5% restocking fee comes off your refund, which we process once the item is back with us and approved for resale. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's different: contact us and we'll sort it out under the Australian Consumer Law, with no restocking fee.

What should I do when my order arrives?

Check the box and the product for damage before you sign for it. If there's any damage, note it with the driver before signing, or refuse the delivery. Without that, we can't claim on the freight insurance.
