Buying guide
The 18V to 12V Power Supply converts a standard 18–20V tool battery into adjustable 5–13V power through an Anderson plug, at up to 10A. A digital display shows the output voltage. Use the Battery platform filter to see only the versions that fit your batteries.
What you can run
- LED lights and light strips
- Fans and water pumps
- Phone chargers and other 12V accessories
- A 12V fridge (see runtime below)
How long will it run a fridge?
At temperature, a 12V fridge draws about 1 amp on average, so a 12Ah battery gives roughly 12 hours. Pre-cool the fridge first. Hot weather makes the fridge cycle more often and shortens runtime.
Power supply or Volt Step Down PRO?
- 18V to 12V Power Supply: up to 10A through an Anderson plug, adjustable 5–13V. Suits lights, fans, pumps and single loads.
- Volt Step Down PRO: 15A, plus a 12V socket and 65W USB-C. Suits fridges and running several things at once.
Charge and connect
- Plug 12V socket gear into the Anderson outlet with an adaptor lead from Cables & Connectors.
- Recharge your batteries on the drive with an In-Car Battery Charger. This collection also includes our power supply and charger bundles.
Before you buy
- Battery not included. Each version fits the 18–20V slide-on batteries of the brand in its name.
- Built-in low-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection.
- Don't use dual-battery adaptors for longer runtime, and never combine two batteries at different charge levels. Both can damage the batteries.
Makita, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Bosch, Ryobi, AEG, Ozito, Einhell, HiKOKI and Metabo are trade marks of their respective owners. These are aftermarket products, compatible with those batteries but not made, approved or endorsed by the battery brands.
Frequently asked questions
Will it run my 12V fridge?
Yes. It supplies up to 10A through the Anderson plug. At temperature, most 12V fridges draw about 1 amp on average, so a 12Ah battery gives roughly 12 hours. If you want to run a fridge plus other gear at the same time, the Volt Step Down PRO (15A) is the better choice.
Can I adjust the output voltage?
Yes, from 5V to 13V, and the display shows the setting. Most 12V camping gear is designed for about 12–13V. Check what your device needs before you connect it.
How do I connect gear with a 12V cigarette plug?
Use an Anderson to 12V socket adaptor lead, from our Cables & Connectors range. Plug it into the Anderson outlet, then plug your gear into the socket.
Which batteries does it fit?
Versions are available for Makita 18V LXT, Milwaukee M18, DeWalt 18V/20V, Bosch 18V, Ryobi ONE+, AEG 18V, Ozito/Einhell 18V, HiKOKI 18V and Metabo 18V batteries. Use the Battery platform filter to find yours. Batteries aren't included.
Can I use two batteries for longer runtime?
No. Don't use dual-battery adaptors, and never combine two batteries at different charge levels; both can damage the batteries. Swap in a fresh battery instead.
How much is delivery and where do you send?
We deliver anywhere in Australia. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address and the items in your order, and every delivery includes in-transit insurance. We send with Australia Post, FedEx or DHL depending on the size and weight of your order.
Can I pick up my order instead?
Yes. Choose Pickup In-Store at checkout and collect your order from our store at 14 Cessna Street, Marcoola, on the Sunshine Coast. It saves the shipping cost.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, for everything except awnings. International shipping is calculated at checkout, not including local import duties and taxes, which the receiver pays. For an overseas quote on an awning, email info@mrswagman.com.au or call +61 (0)7 5302 6954.
What's the warranty?
Every Mr Swagman product has a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, such as stitching or a seam coming apart, or a zip, buckle or pole failing in normal use. It starts on the day you receive the product, and it's in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days of receiving it, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging. Please contact us first. You pay the return freight, the original shipping cost isn't refunded, and a 5% restocking fee comes off your refund, which we process once the item is back with us and approved for resale. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, that's different: contact us and we'll sort it out under the Australian Consumer Law, with no restocking fee.
What should I do when my order arrives?
Check the box and the product for damage before you sign for it. If there's any damage, note it with the driver before signing, or refuse the delivery. Without that, we can't claim on the freight insurance.
