Turn a HiKOKI (Hitachi) 18V battery into 12V power for camp: adjustable 5–13V at up to 10A through an Anderson plug, with a digital display showing the voltage. Run LED lights, fans, a water pump or a 12V fridge, and charge phones for the night in the swag.
Fridge runtime
At temperature, a 12V fridge draws about 1 amp on average, so a 12Ah battery gives roughly 12 hours. Pre-cool the fridge first; hot weather shortens runtime. For a fridge plus other gear at once, the Volt Step Down PRO (15A) is the better fit.
Before you buy
- Fits HiKOKI (Hitachi) 18V slide-on batteries. Battery not included.
- Low-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection built in.
- Don't use dual-battery adaptors, and never combine two batteries at different charge levels. Both can damage the batteries.
- Check what voltage your device needs before connecting it; most 12V camping gear is designed for about 12–13V.

Does it come with a battery?
No. It fits the HiKOKI (Hitachi) 18V batteries you already own. A bigger battery (higher Ah) runs your gear for longer.
Will it run a 12V fridge?
Yes, up to 10A. At temperature, most 12V fridges draw about 1 amp on average, so a 12Ah battery gives roughly 12 hours. For a fridge plus other gear at once, choose the Volt Step Down PRO (15A).
What voltage should I set?
Most 12V camping gear is designed for about 12–13V. Check what your device needs, then set it on the display before connecting.
How are Off-Grid Power products delivered?
They're sent from our Australian warehouse partner, separately from our swags and awnings, so if you order both you'll receive more than one parcel.
- Shipping is free within Australia when your Off-Grid Power products total over $200. Below that, shipping is calculated at checkout.
- Orders placed before midday on a business day are usually dispatched the same day; later orders go the next business day.
- Most deliveries arrive within 1 to 6 business days of dispatch. Regional and remote areas can take longer.
- You'll get tracking details by email once your order is on its way.
Off-Grid Power products can't be picked up from our Marcoola store.
Can I return an Off-Grid Power product if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery.
- It must be unused, in its original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase.
- Contact us first. We'll give you the return address, which is different from our Marcoola store. Items sent back without approval may not be accepted.
- You pay the return freight, and the original shipping cost isn't refunded.
- A 5% restocking fee is deducted from your refund.
We don't do direct exchanges: return the item and place a new order for the one you want.
What if it arrives faulty or damaged?
Check your order when it arrives. If anything is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, stop using it and contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos.
Off-Grid Power products are covered by the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a fault is confirmed, we'll arrange a repair, replacement or refund and cover the reasonable return freight. Our 12-month Mr Swagman warranty covers our own camping gear, not the Off-Grid Power range.
